One of the fundamental elements in faith is to believe as Muslims that we cannot move a little tiny thing without Allah’s will. Compared to Allah nothing else is great, Allah is above all of his creation every strong and great person equals zero compared with his Almighty. As Muslims, we have an absolute submission to Allah’s will and plan. You cannot transform from one state to another or even move without Allah’s help. There is no power to be obedient except by Allah, nor is there any strength to stop sinning except by Allah.

The benefits of reciting lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata ʾillā bi-llāhi:

1-The Muslim who recites this dua or dhikr all his suffering from anguish, illness, difficulties will diminish instantly when he has faith in Allah.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying that :

“There is no might and no power except in God” is a remedy for ninety-nine diseases, the lightest of which is anxiety.”

2-Our egos and our nature as human beings tend to place us in the façade that we are capable, independent great which leads us to be arrogant individuals but true confidence comes to the person who can admit that he is not.

3-We all need help at times. Imagine that help comes from the greatest ever the one who created you, knows you the best, what you need what is good for you and what is not.  Whether struggling through difficult financial times, marital problems or dealing with stress and anxiety this can be a powerful dhikr to help you pull through.

Abu Musa al-Ash’ari (RAA) narrated that We were in the company of the Prophet (ﷺ) on a journey, and whenever we ascended a high place, we used to say Takbir (in a loud voice). The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “O people! Be kind to yourselves, for you are not calling upon a deaf or an absent one, but You are calling an All-Hearer and an All-Seer.” Then he came to me as I was reciting silently, “La haul a wala quwwata illa bil-lah.” He said, “O `Abdullah bin Qais! Say: La haul a walaquwata illa bil-lah, for it is one of the treasures of Paradise.” Or he said, “Shall I tell you a word which is one of the treasures of Paradise? It is: La haul a wala quwwata illa bil-lah.”

4-You want to seek forgiveness from all your sins, here’s the solution”: La hawla- wala quwwata illa bil-lah”

The Prophet (ﷺ) said

“There is no one on earth who says: La ilaha illa Allah, Allahu Akbar, SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, and La Hawla wa la quwwata illa Billah, except that his sins will be forgiven, even if they were like the foam on the ocean.”
